"Lush" - a work for piano (improvisation), oboe, and jazz chamber orchestra is to be recorded at the end of March by Rich Shemaria (piano), Rob Jacoby (oboe), and musicians from the New York University.


March 5, 2010 - I uploaded soundtracks for "War and Peace" and "The Climb" to the film page.


February 6, 2010 - I finished scoring a scene from "War and Peace" (2007) by directors Robert Dornhelm and Brendan Donnison. A very exciting exercise, scoring a battle scene with a mix of symphonic elements and a touch of pop. I hope to upload a demo soon.


February 5, 2010 - I finished writing a score to Catalan silent film depicting cultural life of the early XX c. Barcelona. I co-wrote an original score with three other composers. The challenging aspect of the project was to research the characteristics of Catalan music of that period and to incorporate them into a score for two pianos. The film will be screened at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. in April 2010 as part of the Washington International Film Festival.


January 24, 2010 - I finished scoring a short film by Ann Orrin - Mister Jung Stuffed.


December 16, 2009 - I finished writing "Lush" - a work for piano (improvisation), oboe, and jazz chamber orchestra.


December 17, 2009 - I have conducted a recording session of my score to Homecoming - a short film by Josiah Signor. It was a very fruitful session with professional musicians at the Dolan recording studio at the New York University.


December 3, 2009 - I finished scoring "Climb" - a short film by Vincent Ma. I prepared a very engaging electronic score for Vincent and hope to upload the film as soon as it is shown in film festivals this spring.


December 1, 2009 - I finished scoring "Words" - a short film by Max Strebel. I prepared an exciting score for piano solo and typewriter (!). I hope to upload the film as soon as it is shown in the film festivals this spring.


December 1, 2009 - I finished arranging Herbie Hancock's "Dolphin Dance" for big band.


November 29, 2009 - I finished scoring a short film by Josiah Signor - Homecoming.


November 15, 2009 - I finished arranging Cole Porter's "Night and Day" for string orchestra.


October 24, 2009 - New York University Percussion Ensemble directed by Jonathan Haas performs Inspector Bergen Returns at the Frederick Loewe Theatre in New York.


October 4, 2009 - I finished scoring the love scene from 1932 film "Freaks" by Tod Browning.


April 23, 2009 - New Music Ensemble, Rachel Grubb, conductor, performs Three Laments of Heloise and James Rice, piano, performs Pearlescent during "Music from the Living" at the University of Tennessee School of Music, Knoxville, TN.


April 19, 2009 - New Music Ensemble, Rachel Grubb, conductor, performs Three Laments of Heloise at the University of Tennessee School of Music, Knoxville, TN.


April 8, 2009 - Paula Farias Bujes, violin, Pedro Huff, cello, and Eva Elisabeth Holder, piano, perform Danse Macabre during the Student Chamber Music Concert at the University of Tennessee School of Music, Knoxville, TN.

    October 6, 2008 - Invasion of Clowns is performed by UT faculty Brasswind Quintet at the Georgia College and State University during the Music School Guest Artist Series in Milledgeville, GA


    August 14, 2008 - I have finished writing a Flute Concerto - "The Espionage". Read about it and listen here.


    May 28, 2008 - New compositions for piano solo and string orchestra are available: The Jubilance, The Lament, and their orchestrated versions: The Jubilance and The Lament for string orchestra.


    April 16, 2008 - Invasion of Clowns is performed by UT faculty Brasswind Quintet at the 2008 TMEA State Music Conference.
